Duck You: Privacy Policy

Effective 13 October 2026

This policy explains what data the Duck You game for iOS and Android ("the Game") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The Game is made by Stupidella Ltd (Stupidella Oy), business ID 3361577-3, Pohjoisviitta 2B 33, 02330 Espoo, Finland ("Stupidella", "we"). We are the data controller for the data described here.

In short

1. Data kept on your device

Your progress (levels, hatched ducks, mini-games), the sound setting and your privacy choices are stored only on your device. We do not receive them. Deleting the Game deletes them. If you use your phone's own backup (iCloud or Google), your progress may be included in that backup, which is stored in your own account and which we cannot access.

2. Anonymous gameplay statistics and error reports

We use PostHog (PostHog Inc., data hosted in the European Union) to understand how the Game is played, for example which levels are too hard, and to find bugs.

What we collectDetails
A random install IDCreated by the Game on first launch. It is not your advertising ID and is not linked to your name or any account. Reinstalling the Game creates a new one.
Play eventsFor example: a session started, a level was started, won, lost, skipped or left and how long it took, an egg was hatched, a setting was changed, an ad was shown or could not be shown.
Technical detailsGame version, platform (iOS or Android), on Android the version of the system web view, whether the device is a slower one, the type of operating system, screen size, device language and time zone, and whether ad consent was given.
Error reportsThe error message and where in the Game it happened, and how many times the game screen had to be restarted, so we can fix crashes.
IP addressLike any internet request, it reaches PostHog. We have set PostHog to discard it: it is not stored and not used to find your location.

Why: to keep the Game working and make it better (our legitimate interest). We do not use this data for advertising and do not combine it with data from other apps or websites.

Turning it off: tap the gear button in the Game, then the Privacy (shield) button, and switch off Share anonymous gameplay statistics. From then on the Game sends nothing to PostHog.

How long: gameplay statistics and error reports are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted.

3. Advertising

The Game is free and shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited): full-screen ads between levels, and video ads you choose to watch, for example to skip a level. To show and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, the advertising ID on Android), your IP address, information about your device, and how you interact with ads. Google acts as an independent controller for this data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices:

Ads in the Game are limited to content rated for general audiences with parental guidance (PG).

4. Who receives data

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has used the Game and want related data removed, contact us at the address below.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California), you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because the Game has no accounts, we hold nothing that names you. To make a request, email info@stupidella.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Finland this is the Data Protection Ombudsman.

7. Security

Data sent by the Game travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the analytics data is limited to the people at Stupidella who work on the Game.

8. Changes

If we change what the Game collects, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches the Game.
